Elisabeth Angier is a registered, fully qualified chiropractor and established the Llangefni Chiropractic Clinic in September 2007, having worked in chiropractic clinics in Oxfordshire, Cheshire and Scotland. She graduated with Distinction in MSc Chiropractic from the University of Surrey, having previously graduated from the University of Bristol with a BSc Honours Physiology.
Elisabeth enjoys enabling her patients to get back to their normal activities. By helping to ease their pain and dysfunction, she helps them to restore function and mobility. With gentle hands-on treatment, simple advice and careful, confidence-building exercises, Elisabeth empowers her patients to 'get back on track'.
As well as clinical practice, Elisabeth is an advocate for the chiropractic profession. Elisabeth is Chair and a founding Trustee of the Chiropractic Research Council, a charitable organisation dedicated to advancing the profession through chiropractic research. She is registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC), the statutory regulatory body for the profession, that is there to protect the public and maintain the standards of the profession. She sits on various GCC boards and is also a member of the Royal College of Chiropractors, which, promoting professional excellence, is responsible for the education and development of chiropractors.
Elisabeth served 3 years as Vice-President of the British Chiropractic Association (BCA), the largest and longest standing UK chiropractic association, committed to benefitting its chiropractic membership. The BCA ensures its chiropractors maintain the highest standards of conduct, practice, education and training and only accepts graduates from internationally-recognised chiropractic programmes.
As a member of the European Chiropractors Union Elisabeth has lectured at European seminars on ethical and professional practice. Locally, she is the BCA member of North Wales Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Alliance (ARMA) - an umbrella organisation that provides a collective voice for its members (professionals and patients alike) within the UK.
In her spare time, Elisabeth is a keen runner and has completed several marathons and half-marathons. She also enjoys kayaking and windsurfing, making the most of beautiful countryside and stunning coastlines of Anglesey and North Wales. She enjoys gardening (but has to admit that the majority of her efforts are enjoyed by her pet rabbits!) or just chilling out in the sun with a good book.
